La WWE, oltre a rendere noti i nomi delle celebrità che saranno presenti questo venerdì a SmackDown e lunedì prossimo a Raw, ha annunciato anche tutte le regole dell'imminente Draft:
– Oltre 70 Superstar, così come i tag team, saranno ammissibili alla selezione del Draft WWE di quest'anno
– SmackDown sceglierà 30 Superstar, mentre Raw selezionerà 41 Superstar
– Dal momento che SmackDown è uno show di due ore e Raw di tre ore, per ogni due scelte che farà SmackDown, Raw ne riceverà tre
– I tag team conteranno come un'unica scelta, a meno che FOX o USA Network specifichino di volere solo un membro del team
– Tutte le Superstar che non saranno scelte nel Draft saranno immediatamente dei free agent e avranno la possibilità di firmare con un brand a loro scelta
Poco dopo aver svelato le seguenti regole, la WWE ha reso pubblico anche l'elenco completo dei nomi delle Superstar che potranno essere scelte esclusivamente venerdì 11 e lunedì 14 ottobre:
